Art Talk: Visualizing Social Issues - The Art of Patricia Anderson Turner

Patricia Anderson Turner does not shy away from controversy in her life or her art. In her award-winning mixed media art, she explores complex socio-political issues. Her work reveals her passion for social justice as she addresses issues as varied as gun violence, white supremacy, and climate change. Interviewed by Nanette Crist, Patricia will share how she approaches her work and the techniques she uses to tell a story.
Nanette Crist is a retired lawyer turned art enthusiast. She has honed her interviewing skills as a reporter/columnist for Florida Weekly, and previous events at OLLI at Ringling and Arts Advocates. She is also a docent at the Sarasota Art Museum and great supporter of the arts.
