Our private tour of the Sarasota Opera House begins in the main lobby where we will learn about the beginnings of the Sarasota Opera and its history. We will walk up to the third floor where we will learn about the apprentice program, youth opera program, and the history of the building. Next, we walk down to the second floor to get the inside scoop about Sarasota Opera's world-class productions. On the balcony, we will learn about the renovation project and more history. Next stop is the costume shop where we will learn about the beautiful costumes and the life of a costumer. Finally, we go backstage and to the stage itself to get an overview of how things behind the scenes work and what the performers see as well as a little more history.  Question and answer period to follow.
