Art Talk: Truman Adams - Murals and More
Truman Adams is an artist whose work cannot be easily characterized. He creates work in multiple mediums and styles depending upon his artistic whims and the desires of his clients. You’ve likely seen some of his work around town, such as his 3D dance murals at Rosemary Square and his massive mosaic adorning the exterior of the Church of the Redeemer. This past summer, Truman was selected to create the inaugural work for the city’s Florida Legacy Art Mural Series. His mural featuring Amphitrite, the goddess of the sea, can be found on Tamiami Trail across from the “sailor statue.” Truman is also a 2D and 3D chalk artist who participates regularly in our local chalk festival. In 2017, he was one of 25 international competitors who participated in the Dubai Canvas 3D Street Art Competition. The Ringling College graduate also creates works on canvas that range from portraits to 3D images. Nanette Crist will talk with Truman about his work, his mystical influences, and more.
