Creative Digital Portrait Workshop
Learn how to make creative digital portraits through demonstrations and hands on experience. Using various types of lighting including continuous, flash, and moving flashlights, we will achieve interesting lighting effects. We will experiment with lighting placement, intensity, color temperature, modifiers, and reflectors. As a group, we will take turns being the model and photographer while learning to choose lighting and camera settings for different effects. There will be a demonstration of how to use Adobe Lightroom Classic and Photoshop to learn the techniques Havens uses for development.
Bring your camera, extra batteries and cards, and a laptop computer; and makeup, props, clothing, or backdrops which can be fabric, mat board, etc. If you have them, bring a flash unit, tripod, software for development, and thumb drive to move files. Bring lunch, snacks and beverages for breaks.
