Art Talk: Diane Farber - Collecting Contemporary Glass: A Passionate Pursuit
An art enthusiast, Diane Farber attended annual art fairs in Ann Arbor, Michigan, developing an appreciation for various forms of artwork. She never considered herself a collector; she enjoyed art without feeling deeply passionate. However, that changed in 2005 when a friend introduced her to a glass gallery, which sparked a passion for contemporary glass art. Later that fall, she took part in the Glass Lovers Art Tour"with Habatat Gallery in Seattle, WA, where she purchased her first significant piece of glass art and marking the start of her journey as a collector. Attending the SOFA (Sculptural Objects and Functional Art) show in Chicago later in 2005, she quickly expanded her knowledge and connections within the glass art community. What began as a casual interest evolved into a dedicated passion. Her collection is diverse and each piece carries a personal story. Diane looks forward to sharing her journey and love of glass art.
